Thank donors for their gifts

With a Charity Account, thanking donors (even anonymous ones) is easy. Whenever a donor gives to your charity, you can send them a note of thanks from the Charity Account.

Thank donors from the Charity Account dashboard

The dashboard will display donors who have recently made gifts to your charity and have not been thanked yet.

1. On your Home screen, select the charity under Charities and companies you administer.
2. Under Thank your donors, thank all donors who have not been thanked yet by selecting the Thank all donors button. Or, thank each donor individually by selecting the Say thanks button.
3. A popup modal will appear that lists the donors to be thanked. Enter your message in the message field.
4. Select Send message.

Thank donors from the Gifts page

The Gifts page will display a list of gifts made to your charity by donors on Charitable Impact. Checkboxes beside each gift indicate whether the donor has been thanked yet.

• If the checkbox is greyed out, the donor has already been thanked
• If the checkbox can be selected, the donor has not been thanked yet

To thank your donors: 

1. On your Home screen, select the charity under Charities and companies you administer.
2. Select Gifts from the top menu. 
3. You can thank all donors, some donors, or one donor at a time: 
   • To thank all donors, select the checkbox Select all to send a note to all donors who have not been thanked yet. 
   • To thank a specific selection of donors, select the checkboxes for the donors you would like to thank. 
   • To thank one specific donor, select the envelope icon for the donor, and select the Say thanks button. 
4. A popup modal will appear with the donor(s) you selected in the previous step. Enter your message in the message field.
5. Select Send message.

View notes from donors or notes you’ve sent to donors

When donors send gifts to your charity, they may have included a note or dedication with their gift. To view donor notes: 

1. On your Home screen, select the charity under Charities and companies you administer.
2. Notes can be viewed from two places: 
   • In the Gifts section on the Charity Account dashboard
   • From the Gifts page when you select Gifts from the top menu
3. Select the envelope icon to see the note the donor may have included with their gift. If you have sent a thank you note to the donor, you will be able to view your message to them as well.
